State Representative Tony Core was featured on yesterday's "Zell on the Bell" Show.

The Rushsylvania Republican joined host Will Zell to talk about a variety of issues.

State lawmakers have been busy working on several pieces of legislation, including the Capital Bill and the Prescription Drug Bill.

Core said funds from the Capital Bill will help pay for several improvements around Indian Lake. (Audio interview included.)

He says the money allocated for the lake will have a ripple effect.

Listen to Core explain.

If passed, the Prescription Drug Bill would fix a loophole in Ohio law.

Currently, you can be charged for illegally obtaining a prescription, but the law does not charge you for possession of the drug.

The new Prescription Drug Bill would prosecute both acts.

Finally, Core talked about fuel costs.

He stressed that reducing the Gas Tax is not a solution.

Core said the funding from this tax is vital in maintaining our roads.

You can hear "Zell on the Bell" every Friday morning from nine until ten on 1390 WBLL.
