Chiefs and Lakers split in Acme, Houchin leads AcuSport to another win Print E-mail

Finals included:

Acme:

Bellefontaine Powerbuilt ran past Indian Lake 19-0.

Zach Mosbarger fired a three-hitter.

Josh Kauffman led the offense with four hits.

Nolan Hunt went 2-for-2.

Brock Mitchell and Adam Skelly homered.

On Monday, Powerbuilt outscored St. Henry 10-7.

Brock Mitchell earned the win.

Nolan Hunt went 3-for-3.

T.J. Garman and Austen Pulfer each homered.

Bellefontaine travels to the University of Dayton tonight to battle the Dayton Hustle.

Junior Acme:

Indian Lake (Design Original) pounded Bellefontaine 16-2 in five innings.

Travis Francis again led the way offensively for the Lakers. He went 2-for-2 and walked twice.

Ben Frey, Dillion Johnston, and Sammy Ramos each added hits.

LITTLE LEAGUE

Bellefontaine#5 (Exchange Club) clipped Zanesfield 9-7.

A.J. Gorham and Tyler Shamblin combined for 7 strikeouts in 5 innings for Bellefontaine #5.

Cam Henry picked up the save with a scoreless last inning.

Henry went 3-for-3 with a double and two singles.

Gorham added a pair of hits and Troy Pursley doubled.

For Zanesfield, Kyler Young, Todd Coleman, and Brady Bechtel combined for 12 strikeouts on the mound.

Coleman and Austin Ahle each had two hits. Robbie Eleyet doubled.

Bellefontaine #3 (AcuSport) beat East Liberty/Middleburg 10-4.

Jarrod Houchin went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI's to lead Bellefontaine.

Houchin also combined with Rian Lopez for a two-hitter. The pitching combo struck out 13 batters for the winners.

Andrew Mitchell was 2-for-2 with a triple and scored three times for Bellefontaine.

Maple Leaf routed Belle Center 13-4.

Five pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts in the win.

Matt Entsminger led Maple Leaf at the plate. He went 3-for-3 with a double.

Tristin Tillman had two hits, including a double and two RBI's.

Nick Burton added a hit and two RBI's.

Shawn Stevens led Belle Center with a triple. Marcus Rhoades hit a double.

DeGraff handled West Mansfield 21-4.

Kyle Stobbe, Tanner Lane, Joe Corwin, Dylan Roof, and Dakota Bollinger teamed up for 8 strikeouts in the win.

Lane and Corwin went four-for-four and combined for seven RBI's.

Corwin blasted a home run.

Bollinger had two hits and an RBI.

Austin Mustaine drove in two runs.

For West Mansfield, Harshfield and Cline had two RBI's apiece.

Bellefontaine #6 (Thompson Electric) edged Lakeview 5-4.

For Bellefontaine, John Kirby, Gauge Hayman, and Tyler Jones tossed a four-hitter and struck out eight.

Jones was 3-for-3 with two RBI's.

Storm Harman delivered the game-winning hit.

For Lakeview, Dallas Ball collected two hits.

Huntsville #1 (CJ Engineering) cruised past Rushsylvania 18-2.

Cole Wurster, Brandon Huffman, and Alex Bozman pitched well.

Wurster led the attack with three hits.

Daniel Fry, Zach Allison, Bozman, and Huffman each recorded two hits.

Jacob Hulbert and Brandon Gillen doubled.

FARM LEAGUE

Huntsville #1 (EWH Spectrum) outscored DeGraff #3 (Springhills Auto Wrecking) 21-1.

Drew Thomas, Connor Dixon, and Justin Kindle combined for 8 strikeouts in the win.

Cole Merritt had a grand slam.

Drew Thomas and Justin Kindle each had two hits.

Tyler Thomas and Bill Horne went 2-for-2.

Andrew Crockett and Ethan Bryant doubled.

Mike Kimbler and Connor Dixon singled.

For DeGraff, Hunter Goings and Cory Lauderback collected five K's.

SOFTBALL

12 and under:

West Liberty #2 (Big Orange Shoe Shop) edged Belle Center 7-6.

Kylee Hormann and Autumn Klinger combined for the win.

Kylee Gilroy, Madison Boyer, Katie Lement, April Kelly, Aubrey Kabua, and Carlee Daniels scored.
