| Two men arrested on sex charges |

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Larry Powers, 35, of rural Rushsylvania was charged with gross sexual imposition, furnishing alcohol to a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A 17-year-old girl from the Big Springs area says that Powers forced her to have sex with him early Tuesday.
David Cooper, 23, was charged with sexual imposition, falsification, and obstructing official business. Deputies were sent to Cooper's residence when a mother reported that her 14-year-old daughter was having a relationship with him. Authorities say the girl was hiding and Cooper and three others lied about her whereabouts. Powers and Cooper were lodged in the Logan County Jail. |
