Raiders win Acme game, Zanesfield #1 beats undefeated Huntsville #2 Print E-mail

Trenton Pugh pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts.

Cory Cooper drove in the only run.

Logan Coleman added a hit.

Benjamin Logan plays Thursday at Urbana University against Olentangy Liberty.

Bellefontaine Powerbuilt handled Dayton Hustle 9-1 at the University of Dayton.

Josh Kauffman fired a complete game three-hitter.

T.J. Garman went 4-for-4 to lead the offense.

Powerbuilt is 13-3.

FARM LEAGUE

In tournament action, National Salt Distributors shutout Real Living 3-0.

Gunnar Buck and Nathan Langenfeld combined to throw a one-hitter and recorded fourteen strikeouts.

Layne Williams drove in two runs and Langenfeld had a double.

Zanesfield #1 (Sports Plus) took down undefeated Huntsville #2 (AcuSport) 12-7.

Zanesfield's pitchers combined for six strikeouts.

Nolan Robson went 2-for-4.

Hayes Roebuck, T.J. Fink, Dylin Harshfield and Joel Dixon all added hits to seal the win for Zanesfield.

Alex Jacobs went 2-for-3 with a triple to lead Huntsville #2.

Zanesfield finishes the season 13-1. 

EWH Spectrum edged Dairy Queen 2-1.

Max Wilcoxin had two hits, Jacob Rogan had a double with one RBI and Josiah Jester drove in a run for the winners.

Sammy Martz and Jacob Rogan combined for 11 strikeouts on the mound.

Coaches said Blaze Warren and Dawsin Tillman had strong defensive efforts.

For Dairy Queen, Aaron Wisner went 2-for-2.

Ridgemont #2 beat Lakeview #1 13-8.

Alex Ramsey and Cade McKinley combined for eight strikeouts.

At the plate, Alex Ramsey and Xavier McGue each had triples.

Zach Gibson hit a double and a single.

Jace McGue and Austin added two singles each.

For Lakeview, Gerardo belted a home run and a single.

Moots added a home run and a double.

Spectrum Painting defeated Royer Realty 16-9.

Tyler Stien, Anthony Tolliver, and Zach Geboy combined for 10 strikeouts.

Lakeview #2 (Stanley Asphalt Seal Coating) defeated Huntsville #3 10-6.

Ethan Zorn went 3-for-3 with four RBI's.

Cody Beair also added three hits.

Benji Dearwester, Dylan Beltz, and Ricky Stanley had two hits apiece.

Dylan Beltz struck out seven in the win.

For Huntsville, Trenton Butterfield had three hits.

Huntsville's pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.

DeGraff #2 (Comer Insurance) ran past Rushsylvania 16-3.

Matthew Burchett fired a complete game and recorded nine strikeouts in the win.

Bill Walters and Burchett homered.

Derek Kobyleck had a hit and an RBI.

Conner Cotterman drove in three runs.

For Rushsylvania, Dyllon Ferguson and Reese Wilcoxin had two hits apiece.

DeGraff finished the regular season 12-1.

West Liberty #1 (McDaniel's Auto Repair) blanked Belle Center #1 15-0.

Brandon Upton earned the win with eight strikeouts.

Cole McDaniel and Dusty Moell each had two hits.

Ian Meeker and Tanner Workman doubled.

Ben Hyland and Hunter Stewart delivered key hits.

For Belle Center, Taylor Coy had a hit.

Zanesfield #2 (Thomas and Marker) edged Quincy 8-7.

Toby Stettler, Dylan Trusty, and Brody Burk combined for eleven strikeouts in the win.

Stettler paced the offense with a triple and two RBI's.

Arie Pequignot had a triple, a double, and an RBI.

Cody Eagy belted a triple and Elton McKinley added a double.

Burk stole home to score the winning run.

For Quincy, Logan Stobbe and Hayden Robinson teamed up for ten K's.

James Castle had two hits, including a double.

West Liberty #3 (Michael's Pizza) rolled past DeGraff #3 17-2.

Cam Cozad was the winning pitcher. He worked three scoreless innings and struck out eight.

Neil Markin blasted a home run.

Logan Woolley and Cozad tripled.

Dennis Hausler had a hit.

DeGraff #1 (United Midwest Savings Bank) outscored West Mansfield 22-8.

For DeGraff, Trey Lane, Gavin Stallard, and Xane Fugate combined for seven strikeouts.

Caleb Stevens had a grand slam.

Hunter Kreglow recorded a triple and a double.

JJ Frost had two doubles.

For West Mansfield, Mekayla Waugh had three hits and Curtis Gadson added two hits. 

14U SOFTBALL

DeGraff (Comer Insurance) beat Bellefontaine 7-4 Wednesday.

Paige Atterholt struck out nine to earn the win.

Caitlynn Lackey and Ashley Jones were 3-for-3.

Karli Castle had two hits.

DeGraff finished the season 11-0.

On Monday, DeGraff (Comer Insurance) defeated Huntsville #2 9-1.

Taylor Goings earned the win and recorded five K's.

Caitlynn Lackey had three hits.

Brooke Richard and Dana Bell each had two hits.

All Around Awards beat West Mansfield 13-1.

Jascey Vermillion tossed a two-hitter to earn the win.

Maryann Crowley, Beth Lesseter, and Marlee Bostick each had two hits.

Jessica Smith and Tia Hassell singled.

Huntsville #2 (Maier Concrete) routed Quincy 18-5.

Haley Dye pitched a complete game for the win.

Haley Bray and Kaylyn Wright both went 3-for-3.

Hannah Dye and Claire Maier each added two hits.

Wright and Maier had two RBI's each.

Bray, Amber Hites, Hannah Dye, Haley Dye, and Amber May also drove in runs for Maier Concrete.

10U SOFTBALL

Huntsville #2 (Fred Thomas Excavating) defeated Rushsylvania 14-3.

Tori Lones and Morgen Thomas combined for eight strikeouts in the win.

Jessica Grothaus, Lyndsey Chismar and Morgen Thomas each pounded home runs.

Jessica Martin hit a triple.

Morgen Faler added a pair of singles.

Lones, Chismar, Katelyn Hogan, and Brooke Lewis had singles.

DeGraff #1 (DeGraff Creamery) knocked off Zanesfield #2 3-1.

Hannah Kilgore and Davis teamed up for twelve strikeouts.

For DeGraff, Kelby Strapp delivered two RBI's.

Lauryn Davis had a single and an RBI.

Lakeview #1 (Indian Lake Moose Lodge) defeated Huntsville #1 Stites 12-7.

Ashley Holycross paced the Lakeview offense with two hits.

Lindsey Young, Mollie Grubbs, and Meleisha Hengstetler added hits.

For Huntsville, Morgan Evilsizor and Caylee Wurster each had a hit.

8U Softball

Ridgeway beat DeGraff (Medicap Pharmacy).

For Medicap, Hallie Strapp had a grand slam and five RBI's.

Kierstyn Severt had two doubles.

Kelli Roach and Mallory Caudill recorded doubles.

T-BALL

Rushsylvania #3 (Levan's Tax Service) outscored DeGraff #3 (DeGraff Service/Reliable Scraping) 20-15.

For Rushsylvania, Brayden Clem, and Henry Myers each had a single, a triple, and a home run.

Hannah O'Brien had a single, a double, and a home run.

Jacob McKenrick doubled twice.

For DeGraff, Courtnie Smith, Ethan Jackson, Scottie Wilkinson, and Bethany Lowery each scored two runs.

Dylan Smith ripped a double.
