One of our local Jr. Acme teams was in (regular season) action last night. Indian Lake (Design Original) defeated Playmakers Union Post #79 8-5. Colton Moots and Dillon Johnston combined for the win on the mound. Trevor Jacobs went 4-for-4 to lead the attack. Zach Maier and Johnston each had two hits. Ben Frey doubled. Jonathon Schulz and Tyler McCullough added hits. The Lakers are 3-7. They will host Sidney in a doubleheader on Sunday. LITTLE LEAGUE (Tournament) Bellefontaine #6 (Thompson Electric) handled Rushsylvania 13-1. For Bellefontaine, Gauge Hayman fired a two-hitter and struck out four. Nick Ruble and Hayman each had three hits and two RBI's. Tyler Jones and Storm Harman each collected two hits. For Rushsylvania, Tanner Rader doubled. East Liberty/Middleburg beat Belle Center 7-3. For East Liberty/Middleburg, Cody Rice, David Watson, and Dalton Greene combined for nine strikeouts. Eric Cook had two hits, including a home run and three RBI's and scored two runs. Rice went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and scored two runs. Greene added a triple. FARM LEAGUE (Tournament) Ridgemont #1 cruised past Ridgemont #2 18-1 in Lakeview. Ridgemont #1 pitchers Cole Wyatt, Trenton Myers, and Trace Racey teamed up for twelve strikeouts. Racey led the offense with three hits, including a home run. Brady Lester blasted a grand slam. Darrian Bricker tripled. Dustin Howard collected two hits and drove in three runs. For Ridgemont #2, Jason McGue, Alex Ramsey, and Cade McKinley combined for seven K's. Austin Buroker, Ricky Smith, and McKinley collected base hits. T-BALL Huntsville #4 (Sunderhaus Insurance) outscored Quincy #2 (C & J Pizza) 28-18. For Huntsville, Ethan Parker and Kaleb Allen each had a home run and a double. Nikita Scheifele doubled and played excellent defense. Lizzy Foreman and Austin Parker belted triples. For Quincy, Chris Arick belted a grand slam. Lindsay Hemminger and Braden Steely doubled. Warren Shockey and Bry Shulow made several great defensive plays. The T-ball tournament starts today in Quincy. |
