Finals included: Acme Bellefontaine Powerbuilt went 4-2 to finish as runner-up in the Northern Indiana Wood Bat Tournament in South Bend. Powerbuilt fell to North White High School of Indiana in the championship game. Bellefontaine is 17-5 overall. Benjamin Logan played two games at Urbana University on Friday. In the first game, Benjamin Logan steamrolled Greenville 14-1 in six innings. Dustin Craig fired a two-hitter and struck out ten. Blake Rodenberger went 3-for-4 with two doubles to lead the offense. Matt McKirahan recorded three hits. Cory Cooper, Trent Kuhn, and Michael Cox each had two hits. In the second game, the Raiders lost 5-0 against Piqua. McKirahan was 3-for-4 and Craig doubled. Benjamin Logan is 7-5 overall. They travel to Northwestern tonight. Jr. Acme Indian Lake (Design Original) dropped a doubleheader to visiting Sidney yesterday. In game one, Indian Lake lost a pitcher's duel 1-0. Brandon Ross pitched five scoreless innings. Ben Frey, Chase Vance, and Ross collected hits. In the nightcap, Indian Lake fell 18-1. Jonathon Schulz, Zach Maier, and Chase Vance had hits. Indian Lake will host Lima Shawnee on Tuesday. FARM LEAGUE (Tournament) Dairy Queen blanked Real Living 11-0 Friday night. Ben Tanner, Dylan Legge, and Lane Wisner teamed up for thirteen K's in the win. Clay Wisner was 3-for-3. West Liberty #1 (McDaniel's Auto Repair) defeated Quincy 14-4 yesterday. Cole McDaniel was the winning pitcher and Dusty Moell earned the save. Moell went 4-for-4 to lead the offense. Hunter Stewart and Ian Meeker had two hits apiece. Tanner Workman and McDaniel added doubles. For Quincy, Noah Ganson tripled. Belle Center #2 (Advanced Technology Products) beat Lakeview #1 9-4. For Belle Center, pitchers Curtis Hinkle, Isaac Bednarki, and Andrew Bickham combined for fourteen strikeouts. Wyatt Bishop had three hits, including a home run. Bickham went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI's. Hunter Parmer tripled. Jakoby Johnson and Danny Elson drove in runs. For Lakeview, Jacob Shouse, Jordan Gerardo, Mason Diener, and Noah Bailey tallied fourteen K's. Jordan Gerardo was 3-for3. Sam Letson belted a home run. CJ Moots tripled. DeGraff #2 (Comer Insurance) defeated Zanesfield #3 3-1 on Saturday. Ross Stevens and Matthew Burchett combined to strike out seven in the win. Conner Cotterman was 2-for-2 with a home run. Burchett had two hits and two RBI's. Gauge Walters and Cody Dearwester each had hits. For Zanesfield, Brandon Cole, Steven Cole, Grant Ward, and Colton Jones each had hits. On Sunday, DeGraff #2 handled East Liberty/Middleburg 9-1. Bill Walters and Ross Stevens tallied nine strikeouts in the win. Luke Lowery had a home run and two RBI's. Bill Walters recorded a double and a triple. Ross Stevens was 3-for-3 with a double. Conner Cotterman, Gauge Walters, and Brandon Cron drove in runs. For East Liberty/Middleburg, Josh Whitten had a home run and Nicklaus Brown recorded a double. LITTLE LEAGUE (Tournament) Bellefontaine #1 (Lions Club) ran past Rushsylvania 13-0. Devin Legge and Evan McClure combined for eleven strikeouts in the win. Josh Burton led the offense with a grand slam and five RBI's. Devin Legge was 3-for-4 with a triple. Evan McClure and Jordan Baughman added extra base hits. For Rushsylvania, Weston Easter, Tanner Rader, and Westley Ginn recorded hits. East Liberty/Middleburg defeated Ridgemont 6-2. Cody Rice and Dalton Greene struck out nine in the win. Rice had two triples. Greene collected two doubles and drove in two runs. Eric Cook added a double and two RBI's. Josh Vinson recorded a double. Belle Center held off Bellefontaine #1 (Maple Leaf) 11-10. For Belle Center, Parker Codora, Alic Bickham, Marcus Rhoades, and Cole Cox combined for eight strikeouts. Trent Cramer and Bickham had three hits apiece. Shawn Stevens and Rhoades each recorded two hits. Codora added a triple. For Bellefontaine, Jordan Baughman and Devin Legge tripled. Zanesfield shut out Huntsville #2 13-0. David Nease and Tristen Harshfield combined for a no-hitter and struck out eight. Kyler Young paced the offense with three hits. Austin Ahle had two hits, including a home run. Todd Coleman collected a pair of hits. Jordan Scales added a triple. SOFTBALL 16U The Indian Lake Lady Hurricanes placed 3rd out of 10 teams in the Lancaster Edward Jones travel tournament. The Hurricanes beat the Cincy Static 6-3, the Lancaster Thunder 5-4, and the Westerville Warcats twice. Indian Lake lost 13-12 to the Canal Winchester Indians. Highlights included: Against the Cincy Static, Kayla Thieman, Brittany Golliday, and Caitlin Jordan each went 3-for-3. Lauren Bycynski had two hits, including a triple. Against the Lancaster Thunder, Caitlin Jordan, Kerstin Harmon, and Kayla Thieman each had two hits. Krista Young and Bycynski doubled. In the games vs. Warcats, Caitlin Jordan had two hits in each contest. Chelsey Hoyles went 2-for-3 in the first game against Westerville. In game against Lancaster, Golliday was 4-for-4 with two doubles. Harmon and Bycynski had three hits apiece. Jenna Jordan, Young, and Hoyles each had two hits. 8U West Liberty beat DeGraff Medicap Pharmacy. For DeGraff, Hallie Strapp had a home run, a double, and three RBI's. Alexis Snow ripped a double and drove in two runs. Jaylyn Stanley had a double and an RBI. Kierstyn Severt added a double. |
