EWH Spectrum beat National Salt 7-3 to win the City Farm League Championship. Jacob Rogan and Sammy Martz combined on the mound for 16 strikeouts. At the plate, Boris Pattison went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Aurelio Vickers went 2-for-2. Sammy Martz went 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Dawsin Tillman was strong behind the plate. For National Salt, Turner Scott had a hit and two RBIs. Nathan Langenfeld and Gunnar Buck combined on the mound for nine strikeouts. West Liberty #1 (McDaniel's Auto Repair) outscored West Liberty #2 6-1 in County Farm League Tournament action. Brandon Upton earned the win on the mound and combined with closer Ben Hyland for 15 strikeouts. Upton helped his cause with his bat, going 3-for-3. Hyland, Cole McDaniel, Ian Meeker, Dusty Moell and Dominic Smith each had hits. For West Liberty #2, Ryan Kauffman doubled. DeGraff #1 (DeGraff Creamery) defeated Zanesfield #2 8-3 in girls 10U softball tournament play. Lauryn Davis pitched a complete game and struck out 11 batters. She was also 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in three runs. Marissa Davis added two hits and two RBIs. Hannah Kilgore, Molly Worrell and Alexa Klingler all connected for base hits. Indian Lake Lady Hurricanes won a doubleheader against the Ridgemont Angels in the 16U League, 12-0 and 12-4. In the first game, Jenna Jordan led the Lady Hurricanes on the mound. Caitlin Jordan and India Slayback went 2-for-2. Grace Peoppelman hit a double. In the second game, Caitlin Jordan and Kerstin Harmon led on the mound. Kayla Thieman went 4-for-5 and had two doubles. Krista Young had a triple and a double. Taylor Manahan had a double. Slayback hit a triple. Caitlin Jordan went 3-for-4. |
