Indian Lake used a fast start to handle rival Benjamin Logan 9-1. The Lakers scored three runs in the second inning and added two more in the third inning to take control. Sophomore Russ Hogue was outstanding. He tossed a complete game four-hitter to earn the win. It appeared that Hogue's velocity increased late in the game. Zach Carlson led the Lakers attack. He was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and scored once. Hogue had two hits, including a double. Nick Bozman collected two hits. Matt Yanchik recorded two RBIs. DJ Postle scored twice. For Benjamin Logan, Blake Rodenberger started and suffered the loss. Cory Klinger tripled and Jeremiah Kerns doubled. Indian Lake (weather-permitting) will take on Urbana in the Acme sectional today at 2:30 at Blue Jacket Park. The Raiders will battle Bellefontaine or Graham on Sunday at one p.m. Benjamin Logan is 9-8 overall. |
