The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to a fatal motorcycle accident in rural Champaign County just after nine o'clock Monday night.

Troopers report that Charles Buuck, 59, of Urbana was riding his 2005 Harley-Davidson northbound on Kennard Kingscreek Road northeast of Urbana when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Buuck was ejected and he was not wearing a helmet.

Careflight transported Buuck from the scene to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he passed away late Monday.

It's the second fatal crash in Champaign County this year.
