Injury accident on State Route 47 Print E-mail

oshp_cruiser.jpgThree local residents suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in western Logan County yesterday afternoon.

Troopers from the Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to an accident at the intersection of State Route 47 and County Road 34 just after one p.m.

Authorities report that Kaylee Laber, 17, of Quincy was driving a Ford Ranger southbound on 34 and pulled into the path of a westbound Ford Focus operated by Robert Sayre, 45, of Maplewood.

The pickup was struck on the driver's side near the front wheel.

Sayre was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.

Mindy Cioffi, 34, of Quincy was riding with Laber.

Both of them were taken to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Laber was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.

Quincy EMS and Riverside EMS assisted at the scene.
