Recent Benjamin Logan graduate Jessica Frasure was crowned the 2008 Fair Queen, while her court consisted of Jessica Givins, Jessica Titus, Leah Crusey and Runner-up Rebekah Dodson. Frasure, who took home the second runner-up spot last year, says her experience in the queen contest and her long-list of 4-H projects like showing chickens, goats and pigs helped her win the crown. (Video interviews included.) Recent Indian Lake graduate and long-time 4-H participant Dillan Shultz was the only entry in the King contest. Still he is proud to represent Logan County.
A total of seven girls competed in the Queen contest. On-hand to round out the Fair Royalty were representatives from all the commodities and from several other nearby county fairs. The contest was carried live on 98.3 WPKO and Nite Mix host Ken Keller served as emcee.
