Haley Boberg shows off her Grand Champion Born and Raised steer.
Born and raised steers of Logan County were anxious on the show arena floor Tuesday night at the Logan County Fair.

Although entry numbers were lower this year, the cattle shown were noted to look "balanced and sound," according to the judge who drove in from Bluffton, Indiana. (Video highlight included.)

Haley Boberg, in her fourth year of showing steer, walked away with the trophy for the 2008 Grand Champion Born and Raised Steer and also took first place in Class 1.

Boberg has worked with the steer since December and said she felt it was the muscles that gave her champion steer the edge over the competition.
