Isaiah with his Grand Champion T-Bone Steer
It was a very successful day at the 2008 Logan County Fair for Isaiah Snipes.

Isaiah won both the third and fourth class of T-Bone Steers before his final showing with his animals in the champion drive at the end of the show.

Isaiah, a 13-year-old 8th grader from Indian Lake Middle School, ultimately won both Grand and Reserve Champion with his two steers. (Audio interview included.)

Isaiah's all black steer took Grand Champion while a steer featuring white markings on the rear legs took Reserve.

Isaiah attributes his winning animals to hard work and know-how in the area of showmanship.

Listen to Isaiah talk about how he prepped for the fair this year and what set his animals apart from the rest of the drive.

Isaiah also won Grand Champion in the T-Bone Steer Show in 2007.

Although Isaiah came out victorious at the Logan County Fair, he says he will not be attending this year's Ohio State Fair but is looking forward to the livestock sale later this week in the show arena.
