Meghan and her Dairy Beef Feeder
Dairy Beef Feeders filled the show arena at the Logan County Fairgrounds today. There were 10 classes of this particular type of livestock in a show that lasted nearly three hours. Grand Champion Dairy Beef Feeder went to 13-year-old Meghan Wackerman. Meghan is an 8th grader from Benjamin Logan Middle School. The judge said that he chose Meghan's animal for his strong build and good proportion. Reserve Champion in the Dairy Beef Feeder competition went Meghan's classmate, Jessica Yoder. The judge commented that despite the steer's behavior in the ring, he was a "solid animal."
