Local politicians, Mary Rutan Hospital officials, area families and representatives from many local businesses spent a total of $6,835.00 for 111 items at the Annual Baked Goods Auction. (Video interview included.)

Long-time participant Beth Lantz of Me & Company earned second place for both her custard pie and chocolate cake.

She says she's proud when her items bring in big money, which she uses to pay for ingredients and entry fees.

 Watch comments from Lantz.

In a separate auction, a conglomerate of businesses and families bought Cora Eirich's windmill decorated cake for $690 to benefit a sick family member.
