Rescued cat takes First Place in Junior Fair Cat Project PDF Print E-mail

In Junior Fair competition on Thursday, judges saw cats, dogs,birds and an assortment of small animals including rats, mice, rabbits and chinchillas to name a few.

Judges held interviews with the competitors and graded entries on knowledge, quality of work as well as the project book of each animal. (Audio interview included.)

Competitors anxiously awaited results.

One of the first to be called up for a trophy, was twelve year old Kasandera Knief, who took first place for Cat Project with her cat, "Buckeye."

An excited Scott Siegrest took first place for FFA Pet Rabbits.

First Place for small animals went to Amanda Hanson with second place going to a first time chinchilla entry from Michael Mallory.

Michael, an eleven year old from Indian Lake Middle school showed his 11-month-old black velvet chinchilla.
