Riley Penhorwood's Mixbreed dog was rescued by a truck driver, who found the pup at a rest stop on US 33 in Bellefontaine. The Penhorwood family then adopted the dog last November.

The Logan County Fair Dog Show was also held in a new location this year. The show, previously held in the Activities Building on the fairgrounds, was moved to the Entertainment Tent this year.

With the help of Logan County Co-Op Operation Round-Up, this year's show featured a white fence around the tent that now allows for an AKC (American Kennel Club) regulation-sized ring.
