| West Liberty Town Hall restoration gains momentum |

The mayor later spoke about his attendance at the last work session meeting and what the status was with the restoration project. The project has now been divided into five phases. (Audio interview included.) The first phase will includes work on the windows, foundation, roof, and bell tower. Listen to Mayor Hostetler talk about the project. The council then heard from village flower club member Vicki Lingrell. Lingrell thanked council for funding and described plans for a community flower garden at The Veterans Park in the village on Route 68. Council approved a $4,405 bid for removal of leaves in the village. Council heard from Chris Jones, who informed them of a second year of being in the Discount Program with the Bureau of Workers Compensation. It was also reminded that the community be asked that when placing yard waste for pick up to only use small containers of 5 pounds or less to ensure workers only lift and move safe weights. Lastly, the village council heard from attorney Chris Moell about a request to verify insurance coverage of events held at Lions Park. Council meets again on July 28th at 7:30 p.m. |
