Logan County was well represented in the Hershey Junior Track and Field Ohio State Finals on Saturday.

Thirty-three local kids participated in the national qualifying meet in Columbus.

Jazmyn Haley won the softball throw in her age group to advance to the Junior National Olympics for the third year in a row.

Haley is one of just five athletes from Ohio to qualify for the national meet, which will be July 31st through August 2nd in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Locally, the junior track program is sponsored by the Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District.

The program included boys and girls from age 7 through 14.

The kids have been practicing since May and held several local meets in preparation for the state finals.
