Eckurd leads Gloria's Tumbling at National Championship Meet Print E-mail

usta_seal_photo_on_11-07.jpgTwenty members of Gloria's Tumbling team recently competed in the USTA National Championships in Cincinnati.

There were over 2,000 competitors from more than 130 teams across the country.

For Gloria's, standout Lindsay Eckurd won the national championship in subadvanced trampoline.

Several local athletes placed in the top ten in at least one event, including:

Madison Norris, Logan Holycross, Dustin VanBuskirk, Ryan Penny, Andrew Tassell, Caitlin Tassell, Morgan Barnett, Erin McCloud, Bailey Penhorwood, Brianne Britton, Kayli Gonterman, and Jennifer Colby.

Several other members of Gloria's competed, including:

Riley Penhorwood, Layne Mentzer, Ashley Holycross, Robbie Herring, Khierstyn Branan, Allison Penny, and Macie Barnett.

Gloria's Tumbling will compete in the Junior Olympics in Detroit at the end of the month.
