The Hoffman Municipal Pool
With temperatures hovering in the mid 80s or higher all week, everyone is looking for a way to stay cool this summer.

For years Bellefontaine residents have relied on the Hoffman Municipal Pool located on Allison Road as a way to cool off.

(Audio interview and video included.)

People have packed into the Hoffman Pool this week hoping to get a little relief from the sweltering heat that has set in over the past several days.

Long-time manager Bill Bulluck says that the hot temperatures have really helped boost attendance at the pool, and while swimming with family and friends can be a great time, Bulluck reminds us there are a few important safety tips to keep in mind when taking a dip.

Listen to Bulluck discuss pool safety and attendance so far this season.

The Hoffman Municipal Pool is open from 12:15-7:45 p.m. on weekdays, and 12:15-6:45 on weekends and holidays.

Admission is $3 for all ages and Senior Citizens are admitted free with a Golden Buckeye Card.

Bellefontaine's pool could be seeing a face-lift of sorts in the future. Discussion to turn the pool into an "Aquatic Zone" featuring a lazy river and more slides are being considered.

When asked how he felt about the possible renovations to the facility he has dedicated so much time to, Bulluck simply commented, "It's time."

If you have any questions about the facility, call the Hoffman Municipal Pool at 599-4663.
