Just after four o'clock, a mother discovered her 18-year-old son unresponsive in a camper in campground "A".
Troopers from the Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol report that Jeb Wayne Bowman of Kenton was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators from the Piqua District Headquarters of the State Highway Patrol are working with the Logan County Coroner's Office and Indian State Park Office to determine the cause of Bowman's death.
Indian Lake EMS assisted at the scene. Logan County Coroner Dr. Michael Failor says foul play is not suspected, but a complete autopsy will determine the cause of death. Those results will be available in about two months. Bowman was fishing at Indian Lake late Friday and early Saturday. The teen complained of severe stomach pain and went to sleep Saturday morning. Authorities believe he died around eleven a.m. Saturday. Heat likely was not a factor because the camper was air-conditioned. |
