bellefontaine_city_council_7-22-08.jpgBellefontaine City Council met in regular session Tuesday night in council chambers.

Several concerned citizens spoke out at council over loud noise and music coming from a bar, The Warehouse, located at 305 Carter Avenue in Bellefontaine.

The Warehouse opened roughly one year ago. (Audio interview included.)

Roy Jenkins lives on Carter Avenue. He said, "We cannot spend a quiet evening in our yards anymore due to the racquet from the business."

Several other citizens addressed council as well, asking when this problem would be dealt with and solved.

City Law Director Howard Traul reminded the public that council planned to discuss the matter further and that a solution, "won't happen overnight."

In other news, a presentation of the possible renovations to the Hoffman Municipal Pool were shown to council. The possibility of the Hoffman Municipal Pool becoming an aquatic zone has manifested into a conceptual drawing that Parks and Recreation Superintendent Kris Myers presented to council.

Listen to Myers discuss the presentation and potential plans for the Aquatic Zone.

The aquatic zone is a 3.5 million dollar project.

Council President Vicario expects to appoint a committee to study the conceptual drawing (below) and finances of the aquatic zone at the next Bellefontaine City Council meeting.
