The Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a four-vehicle accident on Main near Spring shortly after four o'clock.

All of the vehicles were on the inside northbound lane of Main Street.

Officers report that a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by Catherine Murphy, 69, of Huntsville rear-ended a 2006 Scion operated by Virginia White, 36, of West Mansfield.

White's car then struck a '99 Chevy Tahoe driven by Jamie Sidders, 22, of Bellefontaine.

Her Tahoe then hit an '02 Chrysler Concord operated by Theodore Schultz, 76, of West Mansfield.

Sidders was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

Murphy was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Her van suffered heavy damage and was towed from the scene.

No one else was injured.
