The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident Wednesday morning west of Bellefontaine on State Route 47 between Township Road 46 and County Road 31.

Lead investigator Jeff Anspach reports that an eastbound PT Cruiser driven by Caleb Cerwinsky, 16, of rural Bellefontaine, went off the left side of the road and hit a utility pole just before nine o'clock.

Cerwinsky, who was wearing a seat belt, fell asleep shortly before the accident.

Cerwinsky was not injured, but he was cited for failure to control.

Dayton Power and Light put up a new pole and restored power in the area.
