Pair of accidents in the city Print E-mail

bellefontaine_police_badge_on_11-07.jpgThe Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a couple of accidents Monday afternoon.

Authorities handled a "T-Bone" crash at the intersection of South Main and Lake around three-thirty.

One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

No names have been released and the accident remains under investigation.

Also, officers and paramedics were sent to a car/bicycle accident in downtown at the intersection of East Columbus and Opera just after three o'clock.

Police report that Tim Skidmore, 57, of Bellefontaine, was driving a Ford Explorer westbound on Columbus Avenue and Connie Vice, 58, of Bellefontaine, was riding a bicycle eastbound.

They collided when Skidmore attempted to make a left turn onto Opera Street.

He was cited for failure to yield.

No one was injured.
