Horn fares well at national track meet Print E-mail

track_and_field_shot_on_3-08.jpgIn last week's United States Track and Field Junior Olympic national championships in Omaha, Nebraska, Ivy Horn of Waynesfield finished fifth among 22 entrants in the youth girls (13-14 age) pentathlon with a score of 2,803 points.

Ivy scored personal bests in the 100m hurdles, the shot put, and the long jump.

The pentathlon is a one-day track and field event consisting of the 100meter hurdles, shot put, high jump, long jump and 800meter run.

Her twin sister, Morgan, was 6th among 29 entrants in the youth girls pole vault with a mark of 9'4".

Both girls will be freshmen at Waynesfield-Goshen this fall.
