Shady Bowl hosted five races, including the 75 lap Shoot Out in the modified division. Chad Poole of Springfield won the feature and took home the $3,000 prize. Bellefontaine's Aaron Pippin drove to a win in the sport stock. Josh Sage of Piqua carried the checker in the compacts. Kenny Snyder of Beavercreek celebrated his birthday by winning the 20 lap Pro-4 feature. Brandon Bayse of Covington won the 20 lap Dwarf car feature. This Saturday will mark one of the wildest nights of the year when the Bowl hosts its annual school bus race. The modifieds, compacts, and sport stocks will compete, too. Racing begins at seven p.m. in rural DeGraff. Waynesfield Motorsports Park had four feature races Saturday. Todd Keen drove to a win in the mini-sprints. Corey Smith took home the checkered flag in the sprints. In the truck division, Jessica Nuss won the feature. Matt Westfall was victorious in the UMP Modifieds. Waynesfield will host four feature races this Saturday, including the 360 winged sprints, the 600cc mini-sprints, the UMP Modifieds, and the Tuff Trucks. In go kart racing, Bellefontaine freshman Tyler Ransbottom was in action at Stateline Speedway in Edon, Ohio on Saturday. He competed in the third annual Griffin Warniment Memorial, which is a benefit race for St. Jude's Hospital in Tennessee. Out of 36 entries, only 14 can make the feature. After two strong heat races, Ransbottom qualified for a 7th starting position. He drove to a fourth place finish in the feature. |
