2009 Acura TL
The All-New 2009 Acura TL luxury sedan was released on Monday with a media ride and drive event held at the Honda Auto Manufacturing facility in Marysville.

Showcased as the next-generation vehicle, the stylish and luxurious Acura TL is offered in two distinct models; a VTEC 3.5-liter engine with 280-horsepower and 2-wheel drive or boasting a VTEC 3.7 liter-engine with 305-horsepower, the all-new Super Handling All-Wheel (SH-AWD) drive option for the serious performance drivers. (Audio and video interviews included.)

Another plus to the dramatic new styling and comfort is an impressive, latest in the industry, technology package.

The intuitive tech package offers a comprehensive array of advanced electronic features including Navigation System with Voice Recognition, real-time traffic, weather Doppler-style radar mapping, surround sound and Keyless Access System with pushbutton ignition.

Watch Marysville Auto Plant Project Leader Tom Pischel talk about some of the technology options.

The 2009 TL is noticeably larger than its predecessor featuring 6.0 inches greater exterior length, 1.8 inches more overall width and .5 inches increased in the overall height.

Ohio associates at Honda R&D center in Raymond engineered the Acura TL from its design concept into the final product.

Listen to Ron Lietzke, Assistant Manager Corporate Affairs, discuss the engineering effort.

The 2009 TL will be manufactured at the Marysville Plant with 70,000 expected to come off the line in the next year.

In addition to the U.S., the new model Acura will be sold to markets in Mexico, Canada, and China.

The 2-wheel drive model will be available nationwide on September 24th and the 4-wheel drive model will be at dealerships in early November.
