Benjamin Logan School Board welcomes new year and new staff Print E-mail

benjamin_logan_school_board_8-18-08.jpgThe Benjamin Logan School Board met in regular session Monday night. The district welcomed back teachers on Monday and all students will report back Wednesday morning.

In addition to discussing new staffing for Benjamin Logan, Superintendent Stanley Mounts commented on the levy that will be on the November ballot.

Many new staff members were welcomed into the district. (Audio interview included.)

At Benjamin Logan High School new instructors include: Jerry Allford (Special Needs Aide), Ginger Davidson (Spanish), James Fawcett (Business), Nikki King (Secretary), Bryan Knurek (English) and Alex Witzky (Intervention Specialist).

Benjamin Logan Middle School will welcome: Julie Barger (Intervention Specialist), Deidre Harman (Science), Josh Kauffman (Language Arts), Todd Shadley (Science/Social Studies) and Angela Shappie (Intervention Specialist).

At the elementary level new teachers include: Guo Haiying and Guo Jia; both are teachers from China who will be teaching the Chinese language for the 2008-2009 school year at Ben Logan.

Superintendent Stanley Mounts says he looks forward to the upcoming school year.
