Watt leads Laker cross country team in Greenville Print E-mail

indian_lake_logo.jpgThe Indian Lake cross country team competed Saturday at the Greenville Invite.

The Lady Lakers finished 13th out of 23 teams.

Leading the way for the girls were sophomore Rachel Watt 38th with a time of 21:04, senior Aubrey Gardner (79th with a time of 22:19), freshman Ashley Albright (80th with a time of 22:20), junior Taylor Norviel (86th with a time of 22:33), and sophomore Emily Gardner (87th with a time of 22:35).

Rounding the top seven were freshman Kayla Beltz (104th with a time of 22:49) and sophomore Melissa Bell (131st with a time of 23:36).

Also competing for the Lady Lakers were senior Sarah Bell (135th with a time of 23:42), sophomore Robyn Zwiebel (154th with a time of 24:15), freshman Ashley Kawalec (with a time of 26:19) and sophomore Haley Tron (with a time of 26:48).

The boys team finished 24th out of 24 teams.

Leading the way for the boys were sophomore Neill Schwieterman (136th with a time of 19:40), senior Robb Long (174th with a time of 21:05), sophomore Nick Bozman (190th with a time of 22:17), senior Kendall Sullivan (191st with a time of 22:18), senior Jason Bryce (with a time of 24:50), and senior Chase Szima (with a time of 26:59).

The Lakers will be back in action Tuesday as they compete at Fort Loramie in a five-team meet.
