WLS golfers win tiebreaker, remain undefeated Print E-mail

golf.jpgThe West Liberty-Salem varsity boys golf team edged Southeastern on a fifth-player tiebreaker at Locust Hills Golf Course yesterday.

The Tigers and Trojans each had a team total of 180.

WLS standout Ryan Meister carded a 42 to earn medalist.

Zach Hartley fired a 45, Chris White carded a 46, Ben Rutan and Jacob Siekierka each shot a 47, and Derrick Overholt recorded a 48.

West Liberty-Salem is 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the OHC.

They will host Springfield Catholic on Thursday at Liberty Hills. 

The JV Tigers won 196-208.

TR Nisonger shot a team-best 46.

Andy Daulton and Ryan Ropp each fired a 49.

Zach Taylor added a 52.

The JV team is 4-0.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys golf team fell to host Dayton Stebbins 185-192 yesterday.

Caleb Elkins led the Chiefs with a 44.

Christian Garlock shot a 46, Brock Mitchell had a 49, Sean Hartley fired a 53, Ethan Wisse recorded a 54, and Brandon Smith added a 61.

The JV Chiefs beat the Indians 208-241.

Luke Heath shot a 49, Rossi Clark carded a 51, Ian Beale and Mike Bull each fired a 54, and Seth Ferguson had a 61.
