Local artist Gene Ray made his first visit to The Night Mix on September 10th and in doing so, became the first country local artist to perform on the show. Ray recently agreed to record an album in Nashville, Tennessee for Robby Wittkowski, who works for Grand Ole Opry star Jimmy Dickens.

Ray has produced an eight song demo that is available to the public. The demo features the song “My Home Town” which Ray performed live on the show. Fake Dream was played off of the demo on the show. Ray’s country style has an old school country backwoods type sound. Ray’s lyrics vary from faith inspired to his experiences in pursuing his dreams.

Ray is hoping for an album release for the holidays. If you are interested in purchasing Gene Ray’s demo, contact Ray at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
