According to Logan County Sheriff's Office dispatcher logs, a 10-year-old boy was injured while racing quarter midgets at Lion's Park in West Liberty Friday night.

West Liberty Police, Fire, and EMS responded just before nine o'clock.

CareFlight transported the boy to Children's Hospital in Columbus.

Authorities have not released the boy's name and the incident remains under investigation.

The quarter midgets race in West Liberty every few weeks.
