Raiders fall in volleyball, Jr. Lakers cruise Print E-mail

The Benjamin Logan varsity team fell to visiting Urbana in four games (25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20).

Lexi Coughlin tallied 14 kills.

Bailey Kerns added 8 kills.

Also contributing offensively were Abby Small (6 kills), Jessica Allen (6 kills), Samantha Terrill (5 kills), and Tiffany Rader (4 kills).

Rader was 103-103 setting with 31 assists.

Defensively, Lauren Stahl had 32 digs and 2 aces.

Contributing defensively were Sarah Yoder (9 digs) and Caroline Lehmon (8 digs).

The Raiders are 11-8 overall and 3-5 in the CBC.

They will travel to Greenon on Tuesday.

Benjamin Logan's JV lost to Urbana in three games 11-25, 25-22, 23-25.

Brooke Richard led the offense with 11 kills and Brooke Erwin led the defense with 16 digs.

The Raiders are now 16-3.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade volleyball team lost to Urbana 18-25, 19-25.

For the Raiders, Ciarra Wirick had 6 points, 3 kills, and 2 solo blocks.

Peighton Wagoner added 3 points and Kylee Smith had 3 kills.

The Raiders next match is Monday when they host Indian Lake. Game time is 5:30.

The Indian Lake Middle School volleyball teams defeated Reid last night in straight games.

For the 8th grade Lakers, Mikaela Oyer had 10 aces, 3 kills, and 2 stuff blocks and Katie Ray was flawless serving.

For the 7th grade Lakers, Ashlee King had 10 aces, 3 kills, and was perfect on serve receive.

Ivy Gilliam and Kylie Jenkins were flawless serving and Gilliam added two kills.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade team beat Northridge 25-21, 25-18.

Jordan Lininger had 10 points.

Casey Scott and Amanda Cole shined on defense.

The Chiefs are 12-1.
