Chiefs Roll at Homecoming; Urbana Knocks Off Indian Lake Print E-mail

football.jpgThe Bellefontaine Chiefs rolled up the yardage on visiting Kenton Ridge on Friday to win Homecoming 42-13 on 1390 WBLL. Four different Chiefs scored on the night. Bellefontaine is now 3-4 on the season.  Check out other scores and highlights from Week 7... On Mix 98.3 WPKO Urbana used two second quarter touchdowns and held off Indian Lake 12-6 for their homecoming.  Nick Gibson was the Arby's of Bellefontaine Player of the Game with nearly 200 yards rushing for the Hillclimbers.

Indian Lake didn't score until 1:07 left in the game and the onside kick failed and Urbana ran out the clock.  The Hillclimbers are now 6-1 while Indian Lake falls to 2-5.

Riverside blasted Marion Catholic 83-0 for the Pirates second straight win.

In the WPKO Bonus game, West Liberty-Salem scored two second half touchdowns to edge Springfield Catholic Central 13-0.  Brice Baumgardner scored both touchdowns for WLS who improves to 7-0 on the season and are tied with Mechanicsburg for the OHC lead.

The Bellefontaine Homecoming Court was introduced before Friday's game. Kaileigh Bible was named Queen.
As mentioned above, Bellefontaine celebrated Homecoming with a 42-13 win over Kenton Ridge at Dodd Stadium.

The Chiefs dominated the line of scrimmage and rushed for over 300 yards.

Sophomore fullback Preaston Artis rumbled for a career-high 136 yards on 13 carries.

He had TD runs from 8 yards and 37 yards.

Bellefontaine took a commanding 28-7 lead late in the first half and never looked back.

The Chiefs outgained the Cougars 362 yards to 173 yards.

Bellefontaine is 3-4, 1-1 and KR falls to 2-5, 0-2.

Mechanicsburg is 7-0 with a 52-19 romp over Southeastern.

Tecumseh hammered Springfield Shawnee 48-7.

Marysville beat Westerville South 24-14.

Fairbanks knocked off Yellow Springs 40-8.

Graham defeated Northwestern 17-7.

Tipp City shutout Stebbins 49-0.

Lima Perry blanked Ridgemont 69-0.

Waynesfield-Goshen outscored Upper Scioto Valley 39-15.

Ada ran past Crestview 62-6.

Anna handled Minster 45-0. The Rockets are 6-1.

Lehman steamrolled Troy Christian 55-12.

Versailles defeated Ft. Recovery 37-20.

Marion Local routed New Bremen 49-7.

Wapakoneta edged Lima Shawnee 17-16.

Miami East stomped Twin Valley South 69-26.

Kenton surprised Defiance 42-21.

Coldwater handled rival St. Henry 34-7.
