The Raiders outshot the Jets 50-2 as senior Seth Henry netted 4 goals and 2 assists, bringing his season totals to 22 goals and 9 assists. Logan Leis scored and had an assist, Dennis Engelenburg scored his 12th of the season, and Paul Scales notched his first career goal. Cory Leiter and Shaun Gilmore also recorded assists and Aaron Jenkins notched his second shutout of the year. The Raiders improve to 8-6-0 and will next play at home on Monday in varsity only action against Fairbanks, with a 7:00 start. Ben Logan has 6 of their last 7, and has a chance at the first 10 win since 1993. Girls 2nd & 3rd grade Royer Realty defeated Thomas and Marker 3-1. Scoring for Royer was Zoe Price (2) and Lilli Levan. Royer is now 6-0 on the season Ann Schmidt blanked Swartz Eyecare 4-0. Scoring goals for Ann Schmidt were Lindsay Stevenson (2), Emma Rister, and Maddie Roberts. 4th and 5th grade Neer's Sand & Gravel Crushers defeated Real Living 4-0 in the opening round of the tournament. Payton Neeld scored two goals. Brandon Styles and Bear Neer each added a goal.

Huntsville #2 rolled over Calvary Christian 5-1.
Caleb Meadows netted the hat trick and Dustin Roby scored twice for Huntsville.
Aubrey Kabua scored for Calvary. Huntsville #1 ran past Indian Lake 7-0. Connor Davis had 4 goals and 2 assists. Dylan Cline recorded 2 goals and Tyler Rode added a goal. Playing hard fought defense were Gianna Adams, Abby Clay, Dominique Edwards, Annie Gentis, and Kyleigh Sharpin. Keepers Michael Beale and Luke Rode combined for the shutout. Under 10 Calvary Christian defeated North Logan #1 3-2. For Calvary Christian, Derek Markley, Parker Grothaus, and Clayton Slemmons scored goals. Good defense was played by Scott Brunson, Josiah Kratz and Carrie Robb. Bellefontaine Fire Department Heat defeated Zanesfield #3.
Netting goals for the Heat were scored Aaron Wisner (3), Connor Adlesburger (along with an assist and a save), and Lane Wisner (also 2 saves). In goal, Clay Wisner had 3 saves and Lane Wisner 2 saves. Huntsville #1 beat Huntsville #2 7-2. Kale Shoffner had a hat trick. Xavier Coppel, Collin Wagoner, Andrew Hulbert, and Mitch Schwieterman added goals. Under 8 Calvary Christian shutout Huntsville #2 4-0. JC Patton and Derek Robb each scored two goals for Calvary. Trent Berry, Bethany Lowery, and Anne West provided good defense. Huntsville #1 and Huntsville #3 tied 1 - 1. Dakota McKinnon scored for Huntsville #3 and Aubry Grider for Huntsville #1 Under 6 Huntsville #3 defeated Calvary Christian 2-1. Scoring for Huntsville were Pierce Wall and Hayden Pummel. It was a great team effort. Huntsville #1 drilled North Logan #3 6-0. Derek Cline led Huntsville with 5 goals. Kassidy Crockett also scored for Huntsville. Colin Burba, Caden Roberts, and Keyton Carruthers all played great defense. Jr. High The West Liberty 8th grade soccer team, sponsored by the Big Orange Shoe Shop, defeated Benjamin Logan Black in their tournament game Saturday 4-3. For West Liberty, Corey Lianez and Aaron Scott each scored two goals. Goalies Jonathan King and DJ Patterson had three saves between them. For Benjamin Logan Black, Kaci Oswalt scored two goals on penalty kicks and Abby Frazier scored a goal. Goalie Dana VanBuskirk had 14 saves for the day. In other Hi-Point tournament action from last week, Bellefontaine blanked West Liberty II 9-0 and Indian Lake edged Benjamin Logan Black 1-0. On Saturday, Bellefontaine shutout Benjamin Logan Gold 6-0. |
