The Bellefontaine Blaze varsity football team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 12-0 win at Graham.
Jake Kennedy opened the scoring when he hooked up with Tristin Tillman on a 31-yard touchdown pass. Gauge Hayman capped it off with a 33-yard touchdown run.
Hayman finished the game with 61 yards rushing, while Tillman tacked on 51. Defensively, Hayman recorded five tackles and an interception. Dorion Hughes also had five tackles, while Daniel Boy and Bronson Shoemaker each recovered fumbles.
In the JV game, the Blaze also posted a 12-0 win.
Richie Curtis rushed for 121 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run. Blaze Warren finished with 50 yards rushing, including a 28-yard scamper.
On defense, Tristin Varian had 11 tackles, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Connor Burton chipped in with seven stops.
The Little Chiefs split with the Little Tigers on Sunday. The Little Chiefs JV won 6-0 as Cameron Mitchell was on the receiving end of a 40-yard TD Pass from Chase Miller. Anthony Carothers led the defense with two interceptions.
The Varsity Little Tigers held on to win 14-6. The Little Chiefs travel to Benjamin Logan next week. |
