A Bellefontaine man was arrested on multiple felony counts after a domestic dispute over the weekend.

The Bellefontaine Police Department responded to 224 South Detroit Street, Apartment 4, around four o'clock Saturday morning.

Christopher Johnson, 28, allegedly held his girlfriend at gunpoint for about an hour after they returned from a downtown bar.

He reportedly threatened to kill her and her two children.

She eventually broke free and went downstairs to her sister's apartment.

The sister contacted police and Johnson was arrested without incident.

He was charged with kidnapping, domestic violence, aggravated menacing, using weapons while intoxicated, and two counts of child endangering.

Johnson was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

No one was injured.
