Two sheriff candidates address Rotary Print E-mail

The two men running for Logan County Sheriff spoke at Monday's Bellefontaine Rotary Club meeting.

Lieutenant Andy Smith and West Liberty Police Chief Ron Murray answered nearly a dozen prepared questions that were presented by club member Mike Minnich.

The topics included budget, staffing, and each candidate's vision on how to improve the office.

Smith touted his 18 years of experience with the office and his education from Ohio State. (Video interviews included.)

Murray talked about the importance of being involved in the community and a good working relationship with many other police departments across the county.

Both men talked about their decision to run for the position and their top priorities if elected.
