Brooklynn Purtee added 9 kills and 2 blocks.

Coach Crouch said, "The girls had a tremendous night even though we didn't come away with the win. We started off a little behind and then they really stepped up their game. We battled back and forth the entire night and the girls never gave up even with some bad calls in the fourth game. I'm very proud of them; they are a young group and very talented. They still have a lot to look forward to with tournament starting on Saturday. I know if they wanted it bad enough they could end up in the sectional finals. Fairbanks is tough but by no means was this win for them handed to them by my girls."

The Pirates are 15-7 overall and 6-1 in the NWCC.

They return to action Saturday night at 8:00 at Sidney High School for the sectional vs. Houston.

The Benjamin Logan varsity volleyball team ended their final game of the season with a win over rival Indian Lake in four games (25-23, 26-28, 25-14, 25-17).

Fellow seniors Jessica Allen and Abby Small added 6 kills apiece.
