Blaze win two, Little Chiefs and Little Raiders split Print E-mail

The Bellefontaine Blaze swept Urbana.

Daniel Boy scored on a 35-yard touchdown run en route to helping the varsity Blaze defeat Urbana 20-0.

The Blaze, which is now 5-0 on the year, also received a 3-yard touchdown run from Dorion Hughes and a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jake Kennedy to Tristin Tillman. Tillman added a 2-point conversion run.

Defensively, Brenda Johnson and Chantz Rose had two sacks apiece, while Hughes also had a sack. Daniel Boy finished with six tackles to lead the defense, while Joe Oliver chipped in with five stops.

In the reserve game, the Blaze rolled to a 24-6 win.

Blaze Warren finished with 119 yards rushing and scored on a 56-yard touchdown run. Connor Burton returned an interception 45 yards for the Blaze and Tristin Varian recorded a safety on a sack in the end zone.

Richie Curtis rounded out the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run and the conversion.

On defense, Kody Roberts had two fumble recoveries.

The Little Chiefs varsity beat the Little Raiders 14-8.

Jordan Baughman led the offense with 45 yards rushing, 51 yards passing, and a touchdown and a conversion.

Andrel Roberts had 28 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving.

Jacob Rogan added 11 yards receiving.

Skylar Heilman led the defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble.

Baughman recorded 9 tackles and a fumble recovery, which led to a 65-yard touchdown.

Aaron Rutherford had 10 tackles and a forced fumble.

Andrew Skidmore tallied 5 tackles and a sack.

Chase Wilcoxin added 5 tackles.

The Little Raiders JV team edged the Little Chiefs 8-6.

Josh Whitten rushed for a touchdown.

Hayes Roebuck completed a pass to Jarrett Matthews for the 2-point conversion.

For the Chiefs, Chase Miller scored on a 3-yard run.

Anthony Carothers had an interception.

Ramon Garcia, Dewayne Davis, and Cole Braun recorded sacks.
