Monday, June 17 2013 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
On June 17 and 18, 2013, the Johnny Appleseed Educational Center and Museum, in partnership with Piatt Castles, will host a two-day summer camp for ages 9-14! This adventure will take place from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The registration fee is $20.
The first day will be held at the Johnny Appleseed Educational Center and Museum on the campus of Urbana University with the focus on the orchard of the early 1800’s. Activities include exploring the Johnny Appleseed Museum, using an apple press to make cider, and planting apple seeds.
On Tuesday, the camp will move to Mac-A-Cheek Castle located at 10051 Township Road 47, West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Campers will learn how life on a family farm changed from the early 1800’s to today. Activities include scavenger hunts, games, role-playing, and exploration of both the inside and outside the castle.
If you are interested in registering a camper or need more information, please contact Cheryl Ogden, director, Johnny Appleseed Museum, at (937) 484-1303 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited, so register today!
