Discovery Riders Volunteers Orientation and Training Session
Saturday, July 21 2012 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
The Discovery Riders accredited therapeutic riding and learning center needs volunteers to lead horses and walk next to riders for their equine assisted activities programs for children and adults with special needs. The orientation and training session is Saturday, July 21st from 1pm-4pm at their facility located at 5850 St. Rt. 292South, Zanesfield visible from St. Rt. 33. Experience with horsemanship is not necessary, but is helpful. Certified PATH (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship) instructors always supervise sessions.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Dress for the weather and wear closed toed shoes or boots. Meet in the stable.
The organization is also accepting applications for students for the upcoming August/September six week session. Scholarship funding available.
