FCCLA Child Development Class

The FCCLA Child Development class of Benjamin Logan High School is having a coat drive to help kids and families in need of coats to stay warm for the winter. We will be collecting and refurbishing coats to give to the children of Raider Nation and the county, or anyone else in need. There will be a box placed in the elementary, middle and high schools from October 20 thru November 4th for anyone who would like to make a donation.  Please Donate and help kids stay warm this cold season!

Scholarship Announcement

The Bellefontaine Rotary Club is proud to announce that it is offering the prestigious Youth Exchange Scholarship. Valued at over $16,000, the Youth Exchange Scholarship is for high school students. It is an in-kind scholarship that covers room, board, tuition and a monthly stipend for a full academic year abroad. Annually, 8000+ students, ages 15-18.5, participate in this worldwide program.

This scholarship is for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Youth Exchange program is offered and administered by Rotary International. Students awarded the Scholarship will be hosted by a Rotary Club in their destination country.

Christmas Wreath Sale

Bellefontaine High School's Academic Boosters Club annual Christmas Wreath sale is underway.  These beautiful fragrant 20" wreaths have Holly berries, pine cones, mixed greens and a bright red bow to add a touch of Christmas spirit.  Each wreath is handmade by Wenger's Wintergreens and goes through a special dipping process to make it last into the New Year.  Wreaths will be delivered to you free of charge on Friday, December 2, 2016 and all proceeds go directly to support academics at BHS. 

Cost:  $27.00

Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast
7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The Bellefontaine Rotary will be hold an "All You Can Eat" pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 5th from 7am-1pm at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Cafe. This is a Scholarship breakfast. $7.00 per person and kids 5 and under are free.There will be balloon artist, face painting and more! Gardening for Wildlife and Pollinators Regional Meeting
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

You are invited to the fall regional meeting on Thursday, October 27th at the Urbana VFW, 220 E. Court Street. Registration begins at 8am and breakfast items and beverages will be provided. Meeting starts at 9am and the morning speaker will be Donna Schwab. Lunch will be served at noon. Afternoon speaker is Denise Ellsworth. Vendors will have a variety of items and there will be a raffle and door prizes. 

Benefit Dinner
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

 A Benefit dinner is being held for the Thompson Family from Cable that lost there 11 year old daughter last week. Sunday, October 30th at the North Lewisburg United Methodist Church from 3-7pm. $6 per person pizza dinner. 100% of the money goes to the family for funeral expenses. Please come out and show your support.

Shop to Support at ILMS

Indian Lake Middle School is hosting a Shop to Support for long-time teacher Jean Newmeyer on Thursday, November 3rd from 3 to 4:30 pm. The ILMS Media Center will be filled with items from local vendors of LuLaRoe, Thirty-one Gifts, Scentsy, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski and more. Raffle items will also be available sponsored by ILMS clubs, local businesses, local artists and more.  All proceeds will go to Jean Newmeyer to help with out of pocket expenses due to cancer treatments. Newmeyer was diagnosed with an aggressive form of sarcoma late this summer. 
FAFSA at Indian Lake High School
3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Indian Lake High School will host FAFSA Help Ohio (formerly College Goal Sunday) on November 10th from 3:30 to 6 pm.  This event offers high school seniors and their parents a chance to meet with financial aid professionals and get free FAFSA assistance.  Sign up for a time call 686-8851 or email rappv@ils-k12.org.
Free Spaghetti Dinner
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

The Indian Lake Community Church will sponsor a Free Spaghetti dinner that is open to the entire community.  Come and enjoy a delicious meal from 4:30-6:00pm and then join in the fun of Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of the Lighthouse Fellowship Hall starting at 6:00-7:30pm

Top Of Ohio Mended Hearts Meeting

The "Top of Ohio" chapter of Mended Hearts will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 27 in the conference room at Mary Rutan Hospital.  Michelle Taylor with the Mary Rutan Hospital Sleep Disorder Clinic will be the speaker.  Everyone is welcome to attend the Mended Hearts informative meetings, meet with other heart patients, ask questions and learn more about heart disease. Mended Hearts is a national non-profit support organization for those of any age with heart problems and heart disease, their family members and caregivers. Eagles Trick or Treat Safe Haven

Bellefontaine Eagles 2166 will hold their 1st annual Safe Haven Trick or Treat. This will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 6-7pm at 213 W Chillicothe. All children all welcome! Come all to the Eagles for a safe Trick or Treat inside. 

Zanesfield United Methodist Church Trick or Treat

Zanesfield UMC will serve hotdogs and hot chocolate on Tricker Treat evening, Thursday Oct 27 from 6-7:30. There will be also be candy and goodies for kids. 

Trunk or Treat

Want your Children to experience the fun and excitement of Halloween without having to worry about their safety? Join us for Galilee Lutheran Church's annual Trunk or Treat. We are conveniently located at 301 Lincoln Blvd in Russells Point behind Aunt Millie's and we're excited to bring you and your family a fun evening as you walk through our parking lot stopping at each car to trick or treat. So plan to join us on Thursday October 27th from 6-7:30pm.

Trick or Treat at Campbell Place

Open House/Career Fair at Logan County Sheriff's Office

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking career minded individuals to fill several upcoming vacancies.

 Anyone interested in being considered as a candidate is welcome to attend an Open House / Career Fair on Thursday, November 3 at 6:00 pm.  The open house will be held at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office / Jail Complex, located at 284 County Road 32 S, Bellefontaine, OH.

 Please arrive 15 minutes early to register, and provide photo ID for entrance. 

 For those interested in a career with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the open house will provide a tour of the facilities, an opportunity to meet the administration and staff, an overview of the agency and an opportunity to ask questions.

There will be background information packets available to take that will need to be returned if you would like to be considered for an interview.
