BHS MUSIC MUM SALE

The BHS Music Boosters is sponsoring a Mum Sale in cooperation with Amherst Greenhouse now through September 1st. The cost is $8.00 per pot and you can order by calling 937-210-0994. Delivery is September 7th. All proceeds go to the BHS Music Department.

Earn Advanced Placement Honors!

 

Bellefontaine City Schools recently received news that 10 of their students have been recognized for their outstanding performance on Advanced Placement Exams.  Advanced Placement Tests are monitored by College Board and given to students who complete very rigorous coursework in order to prepare for these tests.  These very difficult tests, are scored by the national board and students receive scores of 1 through 5.  College credit is awarded at most colleges for scores in at least the 3 or 4 range. 

Three students were recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction.  Connor Oppy, a BHS 2016 graduate, received this recognition for scoring an average of at least a 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scoring a 3 or higher on five or more AP exams.  Nicholas Kurtz and Caleb Stewart, both seniors for the 2016-2017 school year, also received the AP Scholar with Distinction award.

Seven Bellefontaine students were recognized as AP Scholars for receiving a 3 or higher on at least three AP exams.  Receiving this award was current junior, Ryoma Kawakami and current senior Eric Laroche, as well as 2016 graduates Isaiah Brady, Nicholas Holoman, Tyler Jones, Christian Kelley and Zach Yoesting.

Rummage Sale

Vineyard Christian Fellowship church is holding a rummage sale in the gymnasium at Union Station in Bellefontaine with the proceeds going to help fund the their 2017 mission trip to the Philippines.

Food Pantry Open Tonight
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Food Pantry of 'Wake Up The World Ministries' at the corner of E. Columbus Ave. and Madriver St. will be open Firday, August 26, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for individuals and families facing food shortages.  The Pantry joined forces with Second Harvest Food Bank of Springfield to expand the quantity and variety of food abailable through this pantry.  This pantry will be open the last Friday of each month from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and anytime for emergency food needs.  Contract Janet Sexton at 937-441-8189 with questions.

Zanesfield UMC Ice Cream Social
4:30 PM - 6:15 PM

The Zanesfield United Methodist Church will be having an Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 26 from 4:30-6:30pm or whenever food is gone. They will be serving shredded chicken, pulled pork, pie, diabetic ice cream and much more! Come join us!
