Benjamin Logan Students

The first day of school for Benjamin Logan students in grades 1-12 will be Wednesday August 20, 2014.  Kindergarten orientation will be held on August 20th from 9am-7pm. The first day of school for students last name beginning with A-K will be on August 21st, and students with last name beginning with L-Z will be August 22nd.

New student registration is set for Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 9:00 am- 2:30 pm at the respective buildings.  For more information, please call the appropriate buildings listed below:

High School

Thursday August 14th “Back to School” will be held at the High School from 9:00am-11:00am for student in grades 10-12.  Students may pick up their schedules, pay their fees, purchase parking passes, and be able to find their classrooms.  Freshman orientation will be the same day from 1:00pm-3:00pm.


Middle School

Thursday August 14th “Open House” will be from 6:00pm-7:30pm for grades 6-8.  Fifth grade orientation will be the same day from 5:00pm-6:00pm.


Elementary School

“Meet and Greet” night will be Monday, August 18th from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the school commons.  “Back to School Night” will be Tuesday August 26th from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

“Meet the Teams” night will be held on Friday, August 15th at 5:00 pm at the High School Stadium.

Mosquito Spraying
11:00 PM - 5:00 AM

On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, A-1 Able Pest Doctors, under contract with the City of Urbana, will complete the first of ten spray applications for the treatment of mosquitoes within the city limits.  This work will be completed every other Wednesday starting at 11pm and ending before 5am.  Residents may wish to bring pets inside and to close windows on the nights that this work is schduled to take place.  If rain or wind delays a spraying, the spraying will take place on the next good weather night.

The schedule spraying dates for 2014 are as follows:

May 14, May 28, June 11, June 25, July 9, July 25, August 6, August 20, September 3 and September 17.
