DeGraff Council approved a contract with Riverside EMS Tuesday.
The two-year contract allows Riverside EMS to serve DeGraff for 2014 and 2015. DeGraff will pay $4,730 per year for those services and there was no cost increase from the previous contract agreement.
Council also approved the permanent appropriations for 2014. DeGraff will have $906,188 in appropriations including a $253,149 general fund.
Council is still seeking a qualified individual to fill the unexpired 2015 term for the council seat vacated by Jennifer Bowman, who resigned on November 1st.
Those interested in the position must be a registered voter and a DeGraff municipal resident for at least one year to be qualified for an appointment to public office.
A letter of interest may be submitted to the following address:
Village of DeGraff Attn: Fiscal Officer P.O. Box 309 DeGraff, OH 43318-0309
The council seats filled by council members Lee Harbour and Gloria Armstrong will also become open on January 1st. Harbour or Armstrong may choose to fill the final two years of Bowman's vacated seat which could leave two four-year term seats open in January.
Mayor Gary Comer comments on the contract and council seats.
The Village of DeGraff Council will meet again on January 7th at 7 pm.
