A local driver was injured in a head-on crash on State Route 274 about two miles west of Route 33 Thursday morning around 2:10.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Deana Backus, 52, of 317 North Park Street, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am eastbound on 274 when she lost control on the snow-covered roadway, then went left of center and collided with a westbound 2000 Honda Odyssey operated by Bryan Prater, 26, of 4713 Township Road 100, Huntsville.
Prater was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Huntsville EMS.
Backus, who was not injured, was cited for failure to control.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
There were numerous accidents on 274 and other east-west roads early Thursday.
Blowing snow and ice prompted ODOT and the Logan County Highway Department to treat area roads.
