Twelve students from Bellefontaine elementary and intermediate schools presented a program based on the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Kids at the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club regular meeting Thursday.
Intermediate Principal Krista Adelsberger explained the concepts behind the Leader in Me Initiative Program which prompts first- through fifth-graders to accept and prepare for leadership roles.
Kiwanians were informed that the Seven Habits include:
1.Be Proactive-not reactive
2.Begin with the End in Mind
3.First things first - Put first things in your life.
5.Seek first to understand before being understood.
7.Sharpen the Saw-balance feels best to do what is good for your soul.
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Kids has been used in over 1,000 schools worldwide.
Following adjournment of the regular meeting the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast committee met to discuss the upcoming event scheduled for March 29 at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Café. Again this year, the Easter Bunny will be visiting the annual breakfast and will be available for photos.
